Family Books of Johann Conrad Arnold - Mscr.Dresd.R.291.s

The two family books of Johann Conrad Arnold were in the estate of the Leipzig bookseller Johann Friedrich Hartknoch (1740-1789), who was related to Arnold. J. F. Hartknoch the Elder was a publisher and music dealer in Riga. After his early death, the publishing house passed to his son of the same name (1769-1819), who continued it in Leipzig from 1803 due to differences with the Russian government.
