Born in Cossebaude, Erna Berger is one of the most important German coloratura sopranos of the 20th century. She was a member of the Vienna and Berlin State Operas and gave guest performances on national and international stages.
The singer's estate, comprising 26 capsules, came to SLUB Dresden as a gift from Wilhelma von Albert in November 2014.
