SLUB TextLab
The SLUB TextLab is the joint writing space of the SLUB and the TU Dresden Writing Centre: an open workshop for all work on texts. A makerspace of words in which you can actively and individually shape your writing process through a variety of suggestions and exchanges in the group or develop and analyse texts digitally together.
What TextLab can do for you
Whether you are studying, researching or simply enjoy writing - at TextLab you will find support and exchange on all questions that may arise during the writing process or when digitally analysing texts. One of our principles is that we view text work as both a physical and mental process. That's why we not only provide advice on good outlines, a scientific writing style or digital transcription of handwritten texts, but also have yoga cushions and other suggestions to help you relax and feel good while writing. Our services include
- Advice on all aspects of the writing process and digital research methods in the humanities and social sciences
- Courses and events
- light-flooded, flexible rooms for individual or group work
- a communal garden for writing sessions and outdoor relaxation breaks
- exercise programmes such as yoga classes
- the opportunity to participate in current digital humanities projects
