In addition to word processing programmes such as Word or Open Office Writer, LaTeX is often used for academic papers or dissertations. To make it easier to get started with this word processing and typesetting system, we offer a series of practical workshops, supplemented by courses offered in cooperation with other libraries in the TU9 Network.

Microsoft Word

If you work with Microsoft Word, you can use our SLUB tutorial "Scientific Writing with Word" in addition to the courses offered by the TU9 partner libraries. It consists of the basic module"Document structure and style sheets", the advanced module"Directories, tables, images" and the expert module"Reference, correction, central and branch documents".
